Director: Priyadarshan

Bhool Bhulaiya a complete Priyadarshan movie with all flavours of humor, drama and mystery, Priyadarshan manages to keep the audience glued to the big screen. Its a  remake of the Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu and unlike Priyadashan’
s earlier films this one is not an out and out comedy so keep those
associations at home.

Siddharth (Shiny Ahuja) and Avni (Vidya Balan) who reside in America decide to go to their ancestral house in India for a vacation. However, they are warned by Siddharth’s uncle Badrinarayan Chaturvedi (Manoj Joshi) that the house is haunted and that they should not enter the third floor of the palace as it would unleash a spirit which has not crossed over. As Avni doesn’t believe in these rumors and passes it off as a grandmother’s tale. She enters the room and suddenly strange things begin to happen in the house. Is there really a ghost or is it a figment of their imagination or is someone playing a cruel joke? Badrinarayan’s daughter Radha (Amisha Patel) is accused of being the culprit and Siddharth decides to call on his psychiatrist friend Aditya (Akshay Kumar) to get to the bottom of things. What unfolds is something really unique and not what we generally witness in films with such plotlines.
Priyadarshan has handled the complicated script extremely well. A few changes have been made to the original, to make it funnier and more convincing. The first half is a light comic thriller and completely revolves around the supporting characters. The lead character (Akshay Kumar) enters 45 mins into the movie and takes it to a completely different level. The second half is more of a psychological thriller.

Bhool Bhulaiya has just the right ingredients of a successful movie - it has comedy, suspense and thrill to keep you at the edge of your seats throughout. Music is really good which usually we dont find in Priyadarshan movies but this is an Exception.

Amisha Patel should stop acting, the sooner the better. Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Asrani are great in providing comic.
Overall, Bhool Bhulaiyaa is a great movie, book ur tickets now ……
